About Dr. Ahsan Shamim
Dr. Ahsan Shamim is one of Pakistan's most distinguished Orthopaedic Surgeons and serves as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Horizon Hospital. With over 30 years of surgical experience, including an 11-year tenure at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, he is internationally recognized for his expertise in joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, musculoskeletal oncology, and complex limb reconstruction.
A graduate of King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Dr. Shamim completed his advanced surgical training in the United Kingdom and became the first Pakistani surgeon to obtain the FRCS (Orthopaedics) from the Royal College of Surgeons. As the founder of the Centre for Joint Replacement & Orthopaedic Surgery (CJROS) at Horizon Hospital, he leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing world-class orthopaedic care with outstanding patient outcomes.
