Emergency Room
An emergency department is a treatment facility where acute care is provided for patients who attend or brought to hospital without any prior appointment. It caters for both medical and surgical emergencies. The patients are seen here according to priority and are provided with emergency care. From here the patients are either discharged in case of trivial illness or they are admitted to the floor or ICU based on the severity of clinical condition. The emergency is operational 24 hours aday.

ER Management
The purpose of ER management is quick assessment and of the patient on arrival by ER doctor.
- Initiation of Emergency Management
- Requesting appropriate speciality to assess the patient
- Carry out the necessary tests
- After the patient is stabilised, he may be discharged from the emergency room, admitted to the floor, or transferred to the operating theatres if emergency intervention is required.
Horizon Emergency
Horizon Hospital has three bedded ER looked after by a medical officer. Consultants of all the specialities are on call and can come to see the patient whenever required. Lab test facilities, ultrasound examination and x-ray can be made available in the emergency.
