Dr Imran Qadeer Dar obtained his surgical and orthopaedic training from 1991-1999 at teaching hospitals affiliated with the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He has a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 1999 he joined National Guard Hospital in Riyadh as an orthopaedic surgeon and worked for 21 years in Saudi Arabia, of which last seven years at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital in Jeddah.
Dr Imran Dar remained a training supervisor of orthopaedic residents in the Saudi Orthopaedic Training Program from 2003 and an examiner in the Saudi Board of orthopaedic surgery from 2008 till 2018. He served as orthopaedic Training coordinator, Co-Director Training and Resident Training Director during these years.
Dr Imran Dar has been an Instructor in Advanced Trauma Life Support, American College of Surgeons, since 2002 and trained hundreds of doctors in ATLS.
Dr Imran Dar returned to Pakistan in 2018 and since then has worked as visiting consultant orthopaedics at Horizon Hospital Lahore. He has more than 27 years of orthopaedic surgical experience and has wide expertise in treating the most complex trauma and sports injuries. He is skilled in Pelvic and acetabular fracture reconstruction as well as arthroscopic ACL reconstruction. He is a very experienced arthroplasty surgeon who has performed hundreds of Hip and Knee replacements in Saudi Arabia and now in Lahore. In addition, he has a special interest in congenital and acquired deformity correction.
Dr Imran Dar provides his services at Horizon Hospital for outpatient, emergency, operative and inpatient services at Horizon Hospital Lahore.
